I'm not one for "gay" romance. I'm not gay, so it does nothing for me. I read this book because I was reading the others in the series and this was the 4th one and just happened to be about 2 guys. At least I think that is the case since it was a "Big City Pack" book and the only other ones I'd seen were heterosexual in nature.

Having never read a book about a gay couple before, I was surprised, pleasantly so. The romance is sweet, the attraction is there, getting to know each other is there, and even the sex scenes were not offensive and were within context of the book and the love story of the two characters. It surprised me to actually like this book, and to like the two men in the book and be glad they had found each other.

A good read.

Draven has come to his lake house to get some long overdue rest. What he does not count on is meeting his mate. Wyatt has come to the lake to take a holiday. An unexpected problem has him stranded in the lake right outside Draven's house. One whiff and Draven is a goner. How will he ever tell Wyatt just what he is as well as explaining that they are mates? Can Draven gain his trust before an ex-pack member comes sniffing around or will he loose Wyatt before he has a chance?

I loved the intensity of the emotions in this book. Draven is man who has lived his life with honor and pride. He has always done what was right, which has not always set well with others who do not care about honor. Watching him try to deal with Rick and his interference with his mate was a good read.

Wyatt may be a mortal but that does not make him less of a man. He is a strong man who is more than ready to fight for what he wants, and what he wants is Draven. It was nice to see the spark between these two turn into something more as the story progressed. Draven and Wyatt are a great couple. Both men care deeply for the other and are not afraid to show it. The love that they share quickly becomes apparent as the story goes on. Draven needs a strong man like Wyatt to stand at his side and fight along with him.

I was so engrossed with this story that I read it in one sitting. The author takes the reader for a wonderful ride into the world of werewolves and their mates. I enjoyed my time in this world and will gladly return with the next book.

Draven is a member of the Big City Pack, but right now he just wants to be alone for a while so he's gone to his house on Buck Lake for a little R & R. Draven is one of the senior members of the pack and recently helped expel a younger pack mate because of a man's actions. Unfortunately Draven had thought the younger wolf was a friend so it stung twice as bad which is the reason he needs a vacation.

Wyatt has been looking forward to his vacation on Buck Lake but it hasn't started out like he wanted. When he took out the boat it just stopped on him, wouldn't restart and of course he forgot to check and make sure there was an oar in the boat before he took off. Now Wyatt is drifting and trying to make the boat engine start up again. Though luck might finally be on his side as someone heard him on the shore and is offering to help.

Draven is amused by Wyatt's predicament and helps him out just to learn that Wyatt is his mate. Draven has always known that his mate would be a man and what a tasty man he is. Wyatt can't believe how sexy his rescuer is and wonders if he might just be gay too. When both Wyatt and Draven realize that not only are they attracted to each other but also both want to do something about it, the passion is hot and fast. Draven knows he needs to tell Wyatt about being a wolf before it goes any farther and yet when the time comes passion takes over. Before Draven can tell Wyatt, he learns about Draven and mating the hard way. Draven has waited for 1500 years to find his mate, there is no way he will let revenge tear them apart.

What starts out as a vacation turns into a passion filled future for two men in Werewolf Claimed. Draven just wanted some down time away from his pack for a bit and never expected to discover his mate. Wyatt's boating misadventure turns into meeting the man of his dreams. I loved watching as both Wyatt and Draven danced around their attraction to each other trying to figure out if the other man was straight or not. Even though their passion was fast, I enjoyed seeing that it wasn't the only thing between them - there was comfort, the need to protect and humor as well. The confrontation between Draven and the lone wolf proved the lengths Draven would go to keep his mate safe. Werewolf Claimed takes hot passion and shows all the other aspects that combine with it to bring a true love.

I have no problem with what this book is about nor who likes who. But I am not into reading about 2 men being together. I wish I would have had some kind of warning, or some kind of "something" that was in the "description of the book"!!

Like I said, to each his/her own, but PLEASE write some sort of "Hey this is two men in Love that I write explicit Sexual scenes about."

It was ok, but I thought the other books were better. Still worth reading. Still plan to keep my eye out for more of this series as they come out.
